Three Dashboard Widgets from the talented engineers at Google offer Mac users some extra Google functionality in OS X.
Google has spent a lot of time and effort developing products for the Windows platform. Given the dominance Microsoft has on computers worldwide, Google's desire to target the broadest audience possible makes business sense.
That hasn't made Mac users very happy, though. For a long time, the only Google application for Mac was the Gmail Notifier that a Google engineer created in his 20 percent project time. Google Earth for Mac later debuted, on the same day Steve Jobs keynoted the most recent MacWorld conference.
Now, as Jobs would say, there's one more thing. Actually three, courtesy of Google, which posted the good news in the Official Blog:
Also, Google is hiring people to build applications for the Mac. Job postings for developers and senior developers on the Mac platform have been placed online.
